UCAR/COSMIC office is in the 3rd floor of building 4 of Foothill Laboratory (FL4).

Both check-in counter (10 to 20 min.) and security check lines (20 to 30 min.) are usually very long. Recommendation is arrival at DIA two hours prior to the departure.

Visitors to UCAR/NCAR are welcome to use the UCAR Shuttle. Especially those staying at the Best Western Golden Buff Lodge since the shuttle stops at 29th Street mall.

The UCAR shuttle stop which will take you to the Center Green 1 building, UCAR/NCAR Foothill Lab., and NCAR Mesa Lab.

There is great public bus tranportation system in Boulder. You can check schedule from RTD and you can check where is bus now from NextBus.

Hotels

There are many hotels in Boulder city and county. Online reservations are avilable for many hotels, and cancellation is usually easy (and fre) with online in major hotels. So earlier reservation is encouraged.

Please chack hotel information carefully if you need high-speed internet connection at the hotel. The fee is usually included in the hotel fee.

Public transportationi is one of the factor to be considered if you don't have rent-a-car.

Supermarket
 

Major supermarkets in Boulder are Safeway, King Soopers, Wild oatz, and Whole Foods Market.

Asian Supermarket
 

Most of major Asian supermarkets are in Denver and Aurora cities. It will take about 40 min. and 60 min. to go to Denver and Aurora supermarkets, respectively.

Most of major Japanese foods are available at "Sakura" in Dever downtown, and Korean (also Japanese) foods are available at Har Mart in Aurora.

Cell phone

Pre-paid cell phone is good for temporary visitors and frequent visitors.

You can receive a call from outside of the USA, and you can call to your friends in many countries with reasonable fee.

The price for the cell phone is usually $30~$40 with $10 calling card, and you can charge minutes by using calling card sold at many stores.

The phone is available at general grocery and electrical appliance stores such as Safeway, King Soopers, Target, Wal Mart, Circuit city, Best buy, and Comp USA.
